Virginia Tech International Support Services
Ian Leuschner and David Muusz contacted ACI about the redesign of Virginia Tech’s Office of International Support Services website. The primary goal for the redesign was to create a custom design outside of existing Virginia Tech templates while utilizing colors and logos related to VT branding. In addition, the layout should support a larger content area so more text is visible without scrolling and the navigation architecture would be reorganized focused on end-user roles. Finally, the revised website would need to feature additional interactive elements such as:
- End-user based navigation
- Full site search functionality
- Google map integration with driving directions to office
- Online forms
- Responsive design to support mobile devices
- News area
- Home page buttons with text overlay
ACI redesigned the previous Virginia Tech Office of International Support Services website featuring integrated graphics, colors, and theme elements based on the designs and graphics of Virginia Tech. The new website was built on a fully customized template in Joomla, our recommended, open source CMS.
In addition to the features mentioned above, the new site includes MachForms online forms, a Google map plug-in on the Directions page, and support for SSL encrypted data transfer.
